Privacy Policy

Staked works by watching your screen for pornography. We know exactly how sensitive that sounds, so we built it to learn as little about you as possible. The single most important thing to understand is this:

Your screen content is analyzed on your own device. Screenshots of your screen are not sent to us by default — they never leave your computer or phone.

The watcher checks each frame locally and only sends us a small result: roughly "clean" or "violation," with a score and a timestamp. We don't receive, store, or look at pictures of what's on your screen.

If a violation is detected, the watcher keeps that single frame on your device in case you want to dispute it. If you choose to appeal, you can share that frame with us for review, and we delete it once the review is done. You stay in control of whether any image is ever sent.

Staked is operated by STAKED, LLC. This policy explains what we collect, what we don't, and why.

What we collect

Account info: your email and a securely hashed password.
Payment info: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store your full card number — Stripe does that. We keep records of deposits, charges, refunds, and forfeitures.
Device & watcher data: a device identifier, operating system, app version, and periodic heartbeats confirming the watcher is running.
Enforcement events: when a violation is detected, we record that it happened, a confidence score, and the time — not the image itself. We also record tamper events (for example, if content filtering is turned off).
Consent records: when you agree to the deposit terms, we store the terms text, the time, and your IP address as proof of agreement.

What we don't collect

Screenshots or images of your screen (analyzed locally, never uploaded by default).
Your browsing history or a log of the sites you visit.
Your card number or full payment credentials.
Anything we don't need to run the commitment you signed up for.

Why we collect it

Everything we collect exists to do one job: run your commitment fairly. We use it to enforce and verify your commitment, detect tampering, process your deposit and subscription, keep your account secure, and help you if you contact support.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We share only what's necessary with a small number of service providers:

Stripe — to process payments.
Our cloud hosting provider — to run the service.
Fight the New Drug — receives forfeited-deposit donations only. We send money, not your personal information.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the service.

How long we keep it

Records tied to your commitment — deposits, violations, tamper events, and consent — are kept as long as needed for the commitment, our records, and legal or financial obligations. You can ask us to delete your account data, subject to records we're required to retain.

Security

Passwords are hashed, traffic is encrypted in transit, and device telemetry is cryptographically signed so we can trust it came from your device. We take protecting this data seriously because of how personal it is.

Your choices

You can access or update your account info, cancel your subscription, and request deletion of your data by contacting us at support@usestaked.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your data, and we'll honor those requests.

Age

Staked is for adults (18+) only. We don't knowingly collect data from minors.
